If you're on the hunt for exceptional barbecue in St. Louis, look no further than Bogart's Smokehouse. Nestled in the heart of the city at 1627 S 9th St, this beloved barbecue haven is a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike. Known for its mouthwatering smoked meats and inviting atmosphere, Bogart's epitomizes what true BBQ should be.

The cuisine here is undeniably centered around perfected barbecue, boasting a menu that features a variety of sandwiches and platters, each paired expertly with two sides. Savor the smoky delight of the Pulled Pork Sandwich, or treat yourself to the rich flavors of the Beef Brisket Sandwich. For those who crave something unique, the Pastrami Sandwich, served on rye with a side of sauce, is an absolute standout. And don't miss out on the Tri Tip Sandwich—another fan favorite that showcases their mastery over smoke and spice.

But the offerings don’t stop at sandwiches. The platters, like the Pulled Pork Platter and the Turkey Platter, make for a feast that celebrates every bite of succulent meat accompanied by wonderful sides such as Bogart’s Beans and Fire & Ice Pickles. You can savor the layered flavors in each dish, and they generously provide sauces that complement the smokiness and enhance the overall experience.

The ambient atmosphere at Bogart’s adds to the experience; though the seating might be limited, the cozy, rustic charm of the establishment makes it the perfect spot to dig into a meal while catching up with friends or family. The moment you walk in, the tantalizing aroma of smoked meats will envelop you, hinting at the culinary delights waiting to be devoured.

Don’t just take my word for it; customer testimonials echo the sentiment of excellence. One enthusiastic diner, K M, describes their visit as a "divine BBQ" experience, praising the generous portions and quick service. Another patron, Feng Li, confidently states that Bogart's offers the "best ribs in St. Louis," citing their tenderness and exceptional flavor. Chaz Lacy-Martinez raved about the well-seasoned ribs, declaring that the Sweet Meagan Ann sauce is a flavor revelation. Such comments reflect not just the quality of the food, but the warm and attentive service delivered by the proud owners.

Whether you’re a BBQ aficionado or just expanding your palate, Bogart's Smokehouse promises not just a meal but a memorable experience that speaks to the heart of American barbecue culture. So, if you find yourself in St. Louis, take the time to visit Bogart’s—you won't be disappointed!

Divine BBQ! We have eaten BBQ all over the country, and can easily say Bogart’s is delicious. Great customer service, and quick as well. We ordered the turkey, brisket and pastrami, with potato salad, slaw, beans, and pickles; burnt ends were sold out when we got there, which is to be expected later in the afternoon. Portions were big and much appreciated. Parking was easy to find on the street, and the atmosphere was lively. We will be back for more!

Great BBQ! Plenty of food and great prices! Atmosphere is a 4 just for the reason of not much seating but for the age of the building and how cool things are we will DEFINITELY return every Cardinals game we go to!

Best Ribs in St Louis, no contest. I have been here three times in the past two months and each time is like the first. For context, I have also tried Pappy’s and Dalie’s, Sugarfire, etc. This is by no means saying the others are not good but none come close to the quality and taste of Bogarts. These ribs are legitimately the best I’ve ever had. They are tender and fall off the bone with a perfectly caramelized crust that pairs extremely well their barbecue sauces. Their deviled eggs potato salad is also an absolute must get, it is one of the more unique sides I’ve had and tastes amazing. The fire and ice pickles, slaw, and baked beans are also very solid options. We were lucky enough to get their last order of burnt ends and smoked wings before they sold out. The burnt ends are also a must if you’re into barbecue. The smoked wings were smoked well and pairs well with their sauce. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and comfortable. Staff here are awesome and really make the experience an unforgettable one. Make sure to include Bogarts on your list of must try when in STL. You will not regret it!

I was in town for a conference. St Louis BBQ was a must eat. Locals recommended Bogarts for ribs. The ribs didn’t disappoint. They were tender, well seasoned and smoked. The Sweet Meagan Ann sauce is a hit. The baked beans are also a must.

What a find! I asked my Lyft driver for a local joint that had good BBQ! Bogart’s rocked it! The smoked turkey was the best I have ever had. The beans and deviled eggs potato salad were 5 star!

Worth a walk from the Arch, but I’ll take a cab back. Briskey burnt ends were sold out at 1:00. I had the brisket slices and turkey, and each was very good. I’m. It used to thin sliced brisket, but it’s delicious. The Cole slaw, potato salad, and beans were also very good. It’s farther from my Arch-area hotel, and worth the trip.

The most tender and melt in your mouth burnt ends you've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Buttery moist. Velvet texture. Low and slow tenderness. The beans were great with their earthy flavor and plenty of shredded brisket mixed in. Wednesday at the 10:30 opening time I had no wait. Burnt ends sell out in the first 30 minutes, everyday. Friendly owners that are proud of their product and longevity of the business.

Hands down the most delicious BBQ. I got the ribs which were so tender and juicy and delicious. I also got the beans and fire ND ice Pickles as my side. The husband got smoked wings, they looked and tasted great. My son got a pulled pork sandwich with apple sauce and chips. He enjoyed trying all the different sauce options. The service was great. The lady was super nice and brought us as many sauces as we wanted and to go containers for leftovers. We sat outside. It was a beautiful day. Make sure you go early as they start to run out of things as the day goes on. I definitely recommend.
